HOW IT BEGAN
A shared passion.
A shared dream.
In August 2019, Sarah and I opened the doors of a dog boutique on the High Street in Holt, Norfolk. We always had a collective love of dogs.
We had a simple but firm conviction, that somewhere in the UK, there should be a place where the most beautiful, thoughtfully made products for dogs could be found under one roof.
Not mass-produced. Not available everywhere, just simply beautiful.
Sarah was the creative heart of it. Her eye for colour and beauty, her instinct for quality, and our combined refusal to compromise became the soul of everything we do.
Together we travelled to the great European trade fairs in Bologna and Nuremberg, wandering miles of halls, handling hundreds of products, with a simple filter:
is it beautiful? Is it made with care?
If the answer wasn't an immediate yes, it didn't make it onto our shelves.
(It still doesn't).
Our Story
...For Sarah Always
In 2023, we lost Sarah. She was 55 years old and the reason any of this exists.
Her son Tom, my Stepson, now works alongside me in the business.
Together, we come in each morning to a business that we love and to a shop she helped build, surrounded by things she chose, selling a collection that bears her name.
We are in every sense building a legacy for her.
The Angel collection is not just a product range. It is a tribute.
Every collar sold, every lead wrapped, every bed delivered to a home where a dog will curl up and sleep, a small piece of Sarah goes with it.
We are incredibly proud of what woofers & barkers has become.
